An Evening with Soulaju: A cipher of beats, rhymes, and poetic justice

Soulaju is an independent, community-oriented, multilingual, multiethnic male/female music duo. SOULAJU fuses progressive Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, and World music influences. In the words of Denver music photographer Ric Urrutia, “Soulaju is creative, conscious, energetic, sexy, intellectual, and overall: bad ass.” SOULAJU sings out about issues of cultural identity, self-empowerment , access to education and the arts, gender justice, comprehensive immigration reform, environmental justice and sustainability.
